Marcus Wax

Marcus Waxx is a London-based vinyl purist originally from the Shropshire/Cheshire border, whose DJ journey began in Manchester’s thriving electronic scene. A record collector since the age of 12, he started DJing at 18, inspired by the way selectors could control a room’s energy and tell a story without words. Known for his highly considered, unpredictable, and ever-evolving sound, Marcus blends house, techno, electro, dub, breaks, UK bass, and experimental cuts, with a focus on tracks that defy easy categorisation. A dedicated digger, he buys all his records in person, crafting sets from hard-to-ID selections and delivering seamless transitions that absorb and invest the crowd. His approach is deeply personal — every record in his bag carries a memory, making each performance a sharing of his life through music. Having played multiple sets at Manchester’s iconic Eastern Bloc and featured on shows like Baked Sessions and Lounge Lab, Marcus’s sets invite listeners to be fully present and open to new sounds.
