With a mixture of heritage from Wales to Jamaica, Lucas Alexander is no ordinary artist. Cutting his teeth early on House & Garage he would travel for hours from his hometown in Cardiff with his record bag in tow to play gigs in Manchester and further. Over the last ten years he has honed his craft becoming a regular in the dance music scene playing alongside every heavyweight under the sun in clubs like DC-10, Mint Warehouse, Joshua Brooke’s, 93 Feet East and so many more
A graduate of the university of UKG, Lucas Alexander’s 2023 was massive! Beatport named him as one of 6 emerging artists, pegging him as “one to watch”. With collabs like ‘Hands On The Box’ with Chicago’s low end legend DJ Deeon, released on the iconic New York label Nervous Records topping the Chart. Garage pioneer Todd ‘The God’ Edwards personally asked him to remix his classic track ‘Shut The Door’, that came out on global powerhouse Defected Records.
Alexander has perfected a new sound merging Minimal, House and Garage with his glitched-out, playful 4:4 tracks making their way into the sets of Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, Marco Corolla, Richy Ahmed, Enzo Siragusa and many more.
2024 has started big with Alexander’s remix of Olive F “Soul Soup” getting weekly play-outs from Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 and consistently played by Marco Corolla. Still to come this year he debuts on Tristan Da Cunha & Brawther’s Dungeon Meat, follows up what was dubbed the Welsh National House Anthem ‘Itchy Feet’ with a return to Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two, drops highly anticipated EP ‘Soz Not Soz’ on Seb Zito’s Seven Dials and many more to be announced.
