Ohio native Christian Smith may have one of the world's most common names, but his music career been anything but. The 20-year-old producer went viral in 2015 after releasing his bootleg of Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen” which has since accrued over 150 million total streams. He has continued to ascend the ranks of dance music through his signature re-cranks and heavy-hitting collaborations with Jauz, Lookas and more.

At the top of 2017, Smith dropped out of Kent State University, where he had a full-ride athletics scholarship, to pursue his dream of making music full-time. By summertime, he had signed with Asylum under Warner Music Group where he released his debut solo single “Dollars”, “Reasons To Run” and more. Amid his busy release schedule, Crankdat has toured all over North America, Asia and Australia.

In January 2018, Billboard exclusively announced his Vegas residency in partnership with Hakkasan Group whose roster also includes mainstays Calvin Harris, Tiesto and Zedd. Crankdat lives by a simple statement: “Gear up.” The motto has evolved into a mission statement for every Crankdat fan as they prep themselves for their next wild adventure.
